Baked Eggs Recipe: Perfect for New Years or Christmas Morning Brunch

If you are looking for a delicious simple brunch recipe with less than 5 ingredients Baked eggs is the perfect choice.



Baked eggs can be made gluten and dairy free with the same tasty results.  They are made as single servings in oven safe ramekins So can be custom baked for each person's dietary needs.


INGREDIENTS (Per Ramekin):

2-3 eggs depending on Ramekin size
1 slice bread sour dough or gluten free 
1 Tbsp butter or ghee can add more or less for taste/preference
2 Tbsps Heavy Cream or Dairy free milk watch video - keep adding until eggs are covered and bread is soaked.
Salt and Pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • butter each Ramekin
  • break small pieces of bread and create a crust inside each ramekin
  • add 2-3 eggs to each ramekin
  • cut 1 Tbsp of butter onto the top of eggs
  • pour cream or milk on until eggs are covered. Let the milk soak and add more to cover eggs again.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Place in oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit.
Bake approximately 25-35 minutes When the eggs have fluffed up they are done
NOTE: placing a cookie sheet on the lower rack to catch any liquid that boils over is ideal.
