How to Home School on a Cheap Budget. Yes, you can do it.
So you are thinking about homeschooling but are scared to jump in?
I am here to tell you it's not as scary as it seems.
In this video I walk you through the materials we have used with our 8 kids over the last 18 years, along with cheap or free ways to give your kids a stellar education, ON YOUR OWN TIME! You don't have to juggle between work-at-home and mandatory class time. You can work during the day and homeschool in the evening. Your kids will learn just as much, and probably retain more information.

Our favorite core materials are the 'What Your Child Needs to Know' series.
These books can be utilized to teach your kids. You can teach right out of the book! And they ensure you cover everything needed for that year. We heavily supplemented with library materials, field trips, activities, and documentaries in science & history. And utilized additional reading and math tools (found below)

Science Materials we like.
For many years used the science section from the 'What Your Child Needs to Know' books and supplemented with library books, free field trips, and free documentaries. In more recent years we have switched to a combination of that and Sassafras Science below.

History - we love the history from the 'What Your Child Needs to Know' books. With supplemental materials from the library, field trips, activites, & documentaries much like we approached science. We often would teach all levels of history in 1 block study to make life easier. Giving different ages of kids different amounts of work around the same topic. We have tried the history curriculum below when doing that and enjoyed it very much.
