Graves 8: Favorite Swimming Hole

Our Kids Love Swimming and Adventure!

I can't tell you how many times we've stopped off on the side of a road for an impromptu hike and found our children swimming in their clothes before we could say no. It used to drive my husband nuts, but being a lover of water myself it never really bothered me. (as if things could get any messier than they are already with 8 kids to chase around)

We do, however, plan outings on a weekly or daily basis to go swimming during the warm Oregon summer months. One of our favorite spots to swim? McDowell Creek park.

If you are coming to Oregon, McDowell Creek falls are off the beaten path. A Linn County park with nice hiking trails for a family and several gorgeous falls to view and play in. Our favorite activity other than swimming is a water hike through the river from the top fall by the upper parking lot, down to this fall by the lower parking lot, where my kids love to swim.

Watch the video below to Join the chaos as we prep, travel, and adventure to McDowell Creek Falls. Including kids jumping off falls, catching crawdads, hiking through the rocky terrain and more.
