Tria Beauty - SmoothBeauty Laser Review

The SmoothBeauty Laser from Tria Beauty is an at home laser treatment that helps remove fine lines on the face, with a suggested use period of 12 weeks. I've spent the last 4 weeks doing a trial run and plan to finish out the 12 week program - updating this blog once I have.

WEEK 1:

Week 1 Results: The laser only works if you have full contact with the skin. The first four days using the laser I struggled to keep contact with my skin, and the laser continually quit. But by the fifth day I figured it out, and no longer had contact problems. I used level 1 for the first few days, but was able to increase to level two before the week was up. Didn't notice much change.

WEEK 2:

Week 2 Results: Using the laser became simple - I used level two all week and began to notice my skin looking brighter and tighter.

WEEK 3:

Week 3: My skin continued to feel tighter and brighter and I notice the fine lines on my forehead (which have shown up this last year) are starting to fade. Still using the laser at a level two, six days a week.

WEEK 4:

Week 4 Results: I switched to a level three part way through the week, it is a longer treatment than level two but feels the same. Level three is the highest level and according to their research, the best results are found when consumers us SmoothBeauty laser at levels 2 & 3.  I have started to get comments on my skin looking more vibrant. I do think it is making a difference and plan to continue using it for the full 12 weeks as suggested.

My Nightly Tria Beauty Skin Routine

I am using the SmoothBeauty laser by itself, in the evening, and following with a night cream. I use aloe on my skin in the morning, along with rosehip oil as I have always done. Tria Beauty does offer an Age-Defining Skincare kit as well, and suggest the use of their priming cleanser and finishing serum for best results while using the SmoothBeauty laser. I'm interested in trialing these products with the laser for my remaining 8 weeks to see if there is an increased rate of improvement in my skin.

How Does It Feel?

Hot. It feels like a hot little ray going into my skin. It takes a little getting used to, and I definitely suggest starting at the level 1 and working your way to the higher levels. It does cause some redness on my face - which is why I do it before bed, the skin heals quite a bit overnight and very little redness can be seen in the morning.
